Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information WorkWell collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. WorkWell is built to keep your data on your own device wherever possible. It applies to the WorkWell desktop application and the website at tryworkwell.com.
Camera and posture data
WorkWell's posture and screen-distance detection runs entirely on your device. Video frames from your webcam are processed locally and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere, including to us. We operate no server that receives camera data, so we cannot access it. The camera is used only while posture tracking is active, and you can disable it at any time.
Session and stats data
Your focus session history, posture scores, and streaks are stored locally on your machine. This information does not leave your device unless a future version of WorkWell introduces optional cloud sync, which would be clearly disclosed and strictly opt-in.
Account data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and store an encrypted representation of your password. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider (Supabase), which stores this information securely on our behalf. We use it to sign you in, associate your subscription with your account, and send essential account and support messages. We do not sell your personal information.
Payment data
Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. When you subscribe, your card details are entered directly with that processor and are never stored on our servers. We receive only the information needed to manage your subscription, such as your plan, billing status, and a processor reference identifier.
Cookies and essential storage
The website uses the storage necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences such as your light or dark theme. We also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and where people get stuck. These set analytics cookies and process your IP address and browser details on our behalf, and they only run after you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change that choice at any time via Cookie settings in the footer. We also count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your browsing activity.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run WorkWell: Supabase for account authentication and subscription records, and a payment processor for billing. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the Service and under their own security and privacy commitments.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and subscription information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your account and associated subscription record. Locally stored data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear it from the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the email below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as WorkWell adds features. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
