Sit better without thinking about it.
TryWorkWell is built on a simple idea: the fix for desk posture is not willpower or a better chair. It is being told, in the moment, that you have drifted forward again.
Nobody decides to slouch.
It happens slowly, across hours, while you are concentrating on something else entirely. Your head creeps forward, your shoulders round, your screen gets closer. You find out about it at 4pm, as a stiff neck or a headache.
Most advice asks you to remember: set your desk up properly, check your posture, stand every hour. That works right up until you get absorbed in your work, which is precisely when it stops working. TryWorkWell exists to take the remembering off you and hand it to something that does not get distracted.
A nudge about your neck is not worth your webcam.
Watching posture used to mean streaming video to somebody else's server. That is an enormous amount to ask in exchange for a reminder to sit up, and it is the reason most people who try a posture app uninstall it within a week.
Pose models now run in real time on an ordinary laptop, so there is no longer any reason to upload anything at all. TryWorkWell measures the angle of your head and shoulders on your own machine and throws the frame away. Nothing is kept. Nothing is sent.
Rather not use a camera at all? On a Mac, AirPods can track the angle of your head instead. That motion data never leaves your Mac either.
You can read exactly what is and is not collected in the privacy policy.
Your camera never leaves your machine
Frames are read, measured, and discarded in the same moment. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted. We run no server that could receive it, so we could not look even if we wanted to.
Nothing to sell, so nothing gets sold
Posture data never reaches us in the first place. There is no advertising in TryWorkWell and no third party buying what you do at your desk.
Off is a valid setting
Alerts are yours to tune. A tool that nags is a tool people quit, and a posture app you quit is worse than no posture app at all.
Set it up once, then forget it.
Calibrate once and TryWorkWell takes it from there, staying quiet until something has actually drifted.
